Declaring a Major in History
*While campus is operating virtually in Summer and Fall 2020, to declare a History Major please complete the Undergraduate Change of Academic Objective Form and email it to Prof. Rostam-Kolayi.
Whether you are declaring history as your major for the first time, or changing your major to history you can complete this process in four easy steps.
- Obtain the “Undergraduate Change of Academic Objective” form in GH-123B or at Admissions and Records (LH-114) and fill out the top section with your student information.
- Navigate over to our “undergraduate degree requirements ” or the official catalog description for "History" at CSUF for information about the department.
- Speak with an adviser in the history department to discuss major requirements and/or pre-reqs, concentration choices, and career options.
- Sign and submit forms. First obtain the (ADD) major department signature in Section A of the “Undergraduate Change of Academic Objective” form. Second obtain the (DROP) signature from the Major Exploration Coordinator in the Academic Advisement Center (GH-123B).
- Walk-ins and appointments are welcome (email vrojo@fullerton.edu to schedule an appointment).
- Be prepared to complete a 5-10 minute “Declaring Your Major” survey before obtaining the drop signature.
