History Minor Information

A Minor in History is an excellent complement to any major. Studying history gives one a broader perspective on the global context within which we all live and work, develops skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, interpretation and communication that will be needed to succeed in today’s (and tomorrow’s) careers and helps put one’s life–and those of others–in historical context. The degree also cultivates knowledge of the U.S. and the world in greater depth and breadth. The Minor in History requires 15 units in the major. A “C” (2.0) or better is required in all history courses applied towards degree.

  • A list of all History 300 and 400 courses can be found in the CSUF Course Catalog. Most History 100 courses are taught every term. To be certain your courses reflect your interests, please contact the undergraduate advisor via Academic Advising.
