The Black Family Fellowship
Amount: $2,000
Established by: Dan Black and Karl Freels have established up to five fellowships annually to support undergraduate and graduate history students pursuing scholarly development and research toward the completion of a project or degree.
Open to: Graduate and undergraduate students in History with a demonstrated financial need working to complete scholarly development and research projects. Preference will be given to students planning to pursue an M.A., Ph.D., or credential program in History or a related field. All awardees are required to maintain enrollment for at least one additional term after receiving fellowship funding.

Lawrence B. de Graff History Student Fellowship
Amount: $1,000
Established by: Lawrence B. de Graaf, a founding member of the CSUF Department of History Faculty, dedicated teacher, and advisor, established this fellowship to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing innovative research activities, experiential learning opportunities, and/or independent research toward the completion of a project or degree (e.g. study abroad, conference participation, internships, archival research, etc.)
Open to: All History undergraduate students of junior and senior standing and graduate students who demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and can provide evidence of timely progress toward degree completion.
